IRS to ‘Money’ Mayweather: Where’s the money?

Undefeated boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather, Jr. who also goes by the moniker ‘Money May’ fashions himself as a very smart man when it comes to money matters but we all know that when it comes to ‘real’ money matters in the United States, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is the only true king.

Recently, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. has been bragging and tweeting about his winnings in the thousands of dollars betting on NBA games and painting to us how cool and savvy he is with his winning ways. Not a very good move from somebody who has a track record of not paying his taxes properly.

True to form and just a day after April Fools Day, the IRS reminded us once again that not paying our taxes is no laughing matter when it slapped a reported $3.4 million bill on Floyd Mayweather, Jr. for unpaid taxes from 2009. Suddenly, the IRS upped the ante and spoiled Money May’s big party.
